The annual Gamescom convention in Cologne, Germany has been steadily growing in status and stature, and is now considered one of the premier events on the gaming convention calendar. Over previous years, Surprise Attack Games has attended in a business capacity or partnered with a business unit to do behind-closed-door presentations. This year, for the first time, Surprise Attack Games will have its own booth.
Located in the Indie Arena–Hall 10.1, Booth A-020–the booth will be showcasing four of our games: Blind, Orwell: Ignorance is Strength, Think of the Children and The Invisible Hand.
Blind is a psychological VR adventure where you play as someone who cannot see except through echolocation. Orwell: Ignorance is Strength is a new season of narrative investigation, focused on a post-truth world, set parallel to the events of the original award-winning game, Orwell. Think of the Children is a chaotic co-op parenting simulator. And The Invisible Hand is a story-driven stock market simulator that explores the way we value things, and the hidden price we pay.
Developers from each game will be on hand to demonstrate their games, and will also be available for interview.
Two key members of the Surprise Attack Games team–Director Chris Wright and Marketing Manager Marla Fitzsimmons–have also flown across to Germany to attend Gamescom. You can follow them on Twitter via @surprisingChris and @rosey22red or head along to the booth and say hello.
